6 – 750ml 2008 Hundred Acre Cabernet Sauvignon, from the cellar of NCEF Trustee's Nancy & Joe Masterson
The talented and visionary Jayson Woodbridge offers 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon wines from his Hundred Acre Winery situated east of St. Helena in Rutherford, California. To Woodbridge, the vineyard site resembled the Hundred Acre Wood in Winnie-the-Pooh, hence the name Hundred Acre.
His production technique focuses on hand pruning, the hand selection of grapes, evaluation of the forest and age of the wood for the casks, followed by extended aging of the wine. Robert Parker, Jr. describes the wines as smooth and creamy with sweet tannins.
Don’t let this one get away—Hundred Acre wines are of limited stock, available by client order only.
INSIDER’S INFO: Wine must be picked up at the Naples Winter Wine Festival Office or it can be shipped to the winning bidder at his/her expense.
