Work of art created by the four- and five-year-old children at Little Wonders, a Collier Child Care Resources Early
Childhood Development Center
This amazing art is a collector’s piece. Especially if you collect the dreams and aspirations of children.
Collier Child Care Resources (CCCR) follows the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy that incorporates daily art experiences. CCCR wanted to give back by creating and donating an art piece to NCEF in appreciation for the support the Foundation has provided over the years. Believers in bringing the natural world into the classroom and the classroom out into nature, they chose the medium of wood on canvas as an expression of their connection to nature, so those little fingers could run along the edges of real pine wood slices.
Little Wonders serves children ages one to five in a warm, family-centered, developmentally appropriate learning center located within Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The center consists of four large classrooms and an outdoor play area. Little Wonders provides a hands-on approach to learning, focusing on a child’s social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Children are encouraged to learn through curiosity. Little Wonders strives to instill in each child a desire for lifelong learning and to provide a nurturing environment where children can flourish both academically and socially.
