1 – 1.5 Liter Silver Oak Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon from the library, hand-selected by David Duncan
during your visit
A Lunch and a private tasting hosted by David Duncan, Chairman and CEO, at either the Silver Oak Oakville or
Alexander Valley winery for six (6) people
It began simply enough: Ray Twomey Duncan and Justin Meyer shook hands in a dairy barn in 1972, and Silver Oak was born. They were an odd couple in some respects. Duncan was an oil entrepreneur and Meyer, a former Christian brother, was a winemaker. Silver Oak flew under the radar for the first several decades of its existence, establishing a reputation as one of California’s finest producers of Cabernet Sauvignon. The two bottlings from Alexander Valley and Napa were different in style, and they reflected the terroir where the grapes were grown. Over the years Silver Oak resisted buyout attempts, and it remains a family-owned winery operated by Ray’s son David.
The winning bidder on this lot will have an up-close and personal visit to Silver Oak. They’ll enjoy a private tasting hosted by David Duncan and a special lunch of food pairings prepared by winery chef Dominic Orsini, and they’ll receive a Magnum from the winery’s library hand-selected by Duncan as well. Your party of six will have the choice of visiting either the Napa or Alexander Valley facility; either way, it will be an unforgettable afternoon.
INSIDER’S INFO: Visit to be scheduled for a mutually agreeable date and should be booked at least six (6) months in advance. Accommodations, airfare and ground transportation are not included. Package will expire on January 25, 2021.
