A tasting menu of chef Emeril Lagasse’s signature dishes prepared by the chef de cuisine and paired with wines
by the sommelier at Emeril’s in New Orleans, Louisiana for four (4) people
Although Emeril Lagasse is the proprietor of 11 restaurants, the original Emeril’s New Orleans was the place that started it all. He opened in 1990 on Tchoupitoulas Street in the Central Business District after a long stint as the executive chef at Commander’s Palace. It earned the accolade of “Restaurant of the Year” in Esquire that year, and it has been the recipient of the Wine Spectator “Grand Award” since 1999—one of only 100 restaurants in the world to receive that honor. After 2,000 appearances on the Food Network, most people refer to Emeril by his first name whether they know him personally or not: mostly because it feels like he has spent so much time in their living rooms!
The winning bidder’s party of four will enjoy a tasting menu of Emeril’s signature dishes, prepared by chef de cuisine Douglas Braselman and paired with wines selected by sommelier Taylor Terrebonne. Those dishes might include New Orleans barbecued shrimp, house made andouille and boudin sausages, sugar cane lacquered duck or andouille crusted Gulf drum; for dessert, there’s nothing better than J. K.’s Grand Marnier chocolate soufflé. It’s enough to make you say “Bam!”
INSIDER’S INFO: Dinner reservations are subject to availability and must be made at least one (1) month in advance. Accommodations, airfare, ground transportation, tax and gratuity are not included.
