Established in 1993, Naples Botanical Garden is a 170-acre slice of paradise. While it includes plant life from all over the world, it has a mission to develop and conserve the local habitats that make our area unique. In 2017, it became the youngest garden in history to receive the American Public Gardens Association’s prestigious “Award for Garden Excellence.”
Developed over several decades, the Garden is a multi-faceted attraction containing something for everyone. Begin at the Chabraja Visitors Center, which encompasses Kathryn’s Garden, Irma’s Garden, the LaGrippe Orchid Garden, Kapnick Hall and the Fogg Café. Almost impossible to see in one day, it includes the Lea Asian Garden, the Kapnick Brazilian and Caribbean Gardens, Smith Children’s Garden, Scott Florida Garden, The Preserve and the Water Garden. The different venues combine visually attractive landscaping with sustainable building practices.
The winning bidder’s party of eight will be fortunate enough to see the gardens through the eyes of director of horticulture Brian Galligan, who helped develop many phases of the facility. They’ll also receive a one-year membership to the Naples Botanical Garden, and after enjoying a catered lunch, they’ll take a unique plant home with them to start their own curated garden.
INSIDER’S INFO: Tour and lunch is to be scheduled for a mutually agreed upon date. A family membership is for two (2) adults and two (2) children and expires one (1) year from the activation date. The unique plant will be selected by the Naples Botanical Garden. Package expires on February 1, 2021.
