Sporting clay shooting trip at Gulf Coast Clays for three (3) people
Includes the use of shotguns and all ammunition
Rustic Everglades lunch for three (3) people
After live pigeon shooting competitions were outlawed, clay shooting developed as a sport unto itself. Competition shooting was an Olympic sport from the start of the modern games in 1896, and medals are currently awarded in six categories. Successful clay shooting requires a combination of aim, dexterity, precision and grace under pressure; in the English sporting version, which has the largest following, targets are thrown in a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations and distances.
Gulf Coast Clays opened in 1966 and has been providing the best of trap, skeet and sporting clay shooting to the Naples community and the Southwest region. The facility has a fully automated 15-station sporting clays course, three trap fields and two skeet fields; they use the Promatic’s Claymate control system, which allows you to shoot solo or with friends. Two experienced instructors are always on hand, and the range is in a scenic area bordered by the Everglades National Park and the Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve. The winning bidder’s party of three will enjoy sport clay shooting with NCEF’s Board Chairman Bill Cary, NCEF Lifetime Trustee Bob Scott and NWWF Patrons OJ Buigas and Jay Hartington. But buyer beware: the pastime is not only enjoyable but also addictive.
