Description

An afternoon boat cruise with NCEF Trustees Karen & Dale Medford aboard their 45-foot power vessel, Sea Fox
Lunch at either The Collier Inn on Useppa Island or The Esplanade Restaurant on Marco Island

Throughout their lives, Karen & Dale Medford have displayed the selfless attitude and willingness to help others that characterize so many of their fellow Trustees at the Naples Children & Education Foundation. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, they were childhood sweethearts who married, prospered, and gave back to the community through The Dayton Foundation. They brought the same commitment to their work in Naples.

The winning bidder’s party of six will join the Medfords on board their 45-foot power boat, Sea Fox, for a day of exploration in the Gulf. There are two possible itineraries, taking four and seven hours respectively. The first is a cruise to Marco Island and lunch at one of the restaurants in The Esplanade Shoppes. The other option, slightly exotic and more intriguing, is a journey to Useppa Island in Pine Island Sound. Accessible only by boat, Useppa is the home of the Useppa Island Club resort and an exclusive outpost away from civilization enjoyed by a privileged few; after lunch at The Collier Inn, you’ll return to civilization.

Whichever route you choose, you’ll enjoy the unparalleled hospitality of the Medfords and make your own selfless contribution to the welfare of the area’s neediest children.

INSIDER’S INFO: Recommended dates for the trip are between March 19–March 23, 2020 and cruise must be taken by April 30, 2020. The boat will depart from and return to the Naples Bay Marina. In the event of unpleasant seas, the cruise can be rescheduled for a mutually agreeable date. Lunch includes all beverages, tax and gratuity.
