1 – 3 Liter 2017 etched Staglin Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
In 1985, Shari and Garen Staglin purchased a historic wine estate in Napa’s Rutherford Bench. Working with the legendary Andre Tschelistcheff, they renewed the property’s 130-year legacy of winemaking. The Staglins have received endless accolades over the years for their estate-grown and bottled Cabernet Sauvignon, and they operate the estate today in partnership with their children, Brandon and Shannon. They are deeply involved in philanthropy, both through the Naples Winter Wine Festival and many other causes around the country.
2017 was a near-perfect growing season in Napa, beginning with the drought that ended the winter rains to the long, hot summer that allowed for maximum grape ripeness. The Staglin Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was blended with 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, then aged for 20 months in French oak. While drinkable now, this etched double magnum (the equivalent of four 750ml bottles) will age gracefully for years to come.
