An "Eatalian" Feast at the community table at Barbatella in Old Naples for up to twenty (20) guests
Chef Fabrizio Aielli, the proprietor of Sea Salt, Dorona and Grappino, is a man who enjoys being in many places at once. Perhaps the place where he’s most at home is Barbatella, his homage to regional and rustic Italian cuisine. Although Aielli is a native of Venice and has nurtured a lifelong passion for the seafood of the Adriatic, the Barbatella menu roams many different areas of the boot.
It begins with a Mozzarella Bar featuring buffalo mozzarella, burattina and both regular and smoked fior di latte. It moves on to pasta with typical ingredients from Emilia-Romagna, the Veneto, Tuscany and Puglia. Signature pizzas from the wood-burning oven are adorned with vegetables, salami, sausage and soppressatta.
The winning bidder will assemble friends and family for a shared dinner at Barbatella’s long, communal wooden table. You’ll be served a succession of dishes that demonstrate the culinary range of Italy’s diverse regions, and you’ll discover an atmosphere that is as warm and comfortable as Chef Aielli himself and realize why he calls Barbatella a “spirited Italian trattoria.”
INSIDER’S INFO: Dinner reservations are subject to availability and must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance. Tax and gratuity are not included.
