One (1) piece of 60” x 48” customized abstract artwork painted to classical music
Abstract artist Anna Rac was born in Poland and began studying piano at the age of four. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in music and now uses music to inspire her artwork. Her approach to painting is emotional and spontaneous, based on the inspiration she receives during the process of listening and creating.
“I explore the connection between music and visual art,” she says. “As a classically trained pianist and abstract expressionist artist, I see remarkable similarity between music and painting. Music's consistency of key and instrumentation translates to a unified color palette and repetitive marks. Lyrical motifs result in gestural, fluid marks while sharp notes become angular, even raw pointed strokes. The texture and weight of the music dictate my choices in color and shape. Tension provides an imbalanced and unresolved quality, imbuing the paintings with energy, strength and spontaneity.”
Anna now lives in Naples and is an active member of the Florida Artists Group, Naples Art District and Naples Art Association. Her paintings are found in galleries in Florida, as well as many private collections in the States and abroad. For the winning bidder using their preferred color scheme, Anna will create a custom abstract piece using mixed media on gallery wrapped 60" x 48" canvas.
