It’s one of the mysteries of food and wine pairing: what do you drink with barbecue? If you’re fortunate enough to be the winning bidder on this lot, your choices will be exceptional. Along with 15 of your favorite friends and relatives (socially distanced as may be required), you’ll enjoy the fabulous Pinot Noir wines of Domaine Serene and Peter Michael from various vineyards and vintages going back to 2010.
Your BBQ bash will be hosted outdoors by NWWF Trustees Chuck and Sharon Hallberg. Pit Master Chuck plans to organize the menu with you ahead of time, but it is expected to include whole salt-baked salmon, chicken, and lamb slow cooked Argentinian style, and of course ribs, along with sumptuous sides. Chef Sebastian Mazzotta will be assisting every step to ensure you receive an extravagant feast. Chef Sebastian’s private dining experience includes catering ultra-exclusive events and private intimate parties. His expertise, impeccable attention to detail, and passion for a worldly range of fare—American, Mediterranean, Italian, French, Asian and International—sets his cuisine apart from the rest.
It’s not a BBQ party without country music, of course, and your tunes will be curated by none other than Ira Dean, accompanied with Dan Tyminski and who knows else! In 1999, Dean helped form country mega-group Trick Pony, playing bass guitar and performing vocals; the group won both the American Music Awards’ “Top New Artist” and the Country Music Association’s “Artist of the Year.” He began his solo career in 2008, and has recorded with Eddie Montgomery, Alison Krauss, Blake Shelton, Jamey Johnson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Montgomery Gentry, Ronnie Milsap, Hank Williams Jr, Kid Rock and Stevie Wonder. He has written hit songs including Montgomery Gentry’s “One in Every Crowd,” Gary Allan’s “Feeling Like That” and the title cut of Trace Adkins’ “Proud to Be Here” album. Ira Dean plans to bring some friends of his to entertain you with hilarious stories and Nashville music at its best.
One of the friends is Dan Tyminski. Dan has been honored with 14 Grammy Awards from 18 nominations. Dan has contributed guitar and/or harmony to projects by Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, Aaron Lewis and Rob Thomas, to name a few. In addition to his highly successful solo career, Dan Tyminski has played guitar and mandolin for Alison Krauss and Union Station since 1994. His unmatched instrumental skills and burnished, soulful tenor voice have been key components of the band.
